Assynt has been long known as a mecca for the Angler. There are hundreds of fresh water lochs holding wild brown trout. These lochs feed the two main Rivers of Assynt; the Inver and the Kirkaig. Both of these spectacular spate rivers flow westward to the sea and hold salmon and sea trout.
Sea Anglers have been coming to Lochinver and Kylesku for many years to sample the offshore fishing round our coast which has been considered as some of the best available in Britain.
Salmon fishing on the Rivers Upper and Lower Inver and Kirkaig is owned by the Inver Lodge Hotel in Lochinver. For details contact fishing@inverlodge.com
